Expenditure Observer visits Fazilka, meets with officials of District Expenditure Monitoring Cell

In view of Lok Sabha Elections 2024, Expenditure Observer appointed for Lok Sabha Constituency 10-Firozepur Mr. Nagendra Yadav IRS visited Fazilka district today, where he held a meeting with District Election Officer Dr. Senu Duggal, SSP Dr. Pragya Jain and all Assistant Returning Officers and Expenditure Monitoring Teams.
On reaching here on this occasion, Deputy Commissioner cum District Election Officer Dr. Senu Duggal welcomed him. On this occasion, Expenditure Observer Mr. Nagendra Yadav said that in the Lok Sabha Elections, election expenses of candidates and political parties should be closely monitored and all types of expenses should be recorded in the Shadow Register as per the rules.
Mr. Nagendra Yadav said that every activity of the candidates and political parties and the expenses incurred by them during the elections need to be closely monitored. Apart from this, it should be ensured that the expenses of the candidates are reconciled with the shadow registers and the teams posted in the field should also keep an eye on the campaign materials placed on the campaigning vehicles.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the expenditure monitoring teams that strict action should be taken on concealment or understatement of any kind of expenditure related to the elections.
This Additional District Election Officer cum Additional Deputy Commissioner General Mr. Rakesh Kumar Popli gave detailed information about the working system of the cell such as VST, VVT, SST, Accounting Team, Grievance Cell and MCMC.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Development cum Assistant Returning Officer Balluana Mr. Amarinder Singh Malhi, SDM Mr. Pankaj Bansal, Mr. Vipan Bhandari and Mr. Balkaran Singh informed about the election preparations done in their respective constituencies.
On this occasion, SP Mr. Ramnish Chaudhary, MCC Nodal Officer Mr. Ashok Kumar, MCMC Nodal Officer Mr. Bhupinder Singh Brar, were also present. On this occasion, Expenditure detailed information about the working system of the cell also participated in the Signature campaign launched under the sveep activities in the district and also saw the exhibition regarding the sveep activities. Earlier Expenditure Observer also visited the blood donation camp organised on Red Cross day with theme of motivation to youth for voting.
